That’s A Wrap! Traverse City Horse Shows Looks Back on 11 Weeks of Equestrian Memories
Traverse City, Mich. – Sept. 21, 2020 – What a season! The team at Traverse City Horse Shows (TCHS) would like to thank all of its participants, devoted supporters and hardworking staff for helping to make its 11 weeks of competition one to remember. Between spring, summer and fall dates, Flintfields Horse Park hosted more than 3,300 horses ranging from beginner ponies to Olympic equine athletes, and each rider added something to the show. Looking back on 11 weeks of Traverse City horse shows, there are too many memories with old and new friends to count, and the team behind the events hopes that all of its visitors enjoyed their time, however long or short, in beautiful Traverse City.

The 50th American Gold Cup, presented by CaptiveOne Advisors LLC, hit the peak of its 11 weeks of competition Sunday as the final and, arguably, most thrilling day of the season spotlighted 50 decorated international contenders in the $213,300 American Gold Cup Grand Prix CSI4*, presented by CaptiveOne Advisors, the last act of the 2020 series.
Samantha Schaefer and In The Know Claim $25,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby Title to Close Out 2020 American Gold Cup
Hunter hopefuls came to the limelight Sunday, the final day of the 50th American Gold Cup, presented by CaptiveOne Advisors LLC, and the 2020 season in Traverse City. Two feature events highlighted the day, coming in the form of the $25,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby and the $2,500 2’6″ Non Pro Hunter Derby. Pony and junior riders also had a chance to shine in the $2,500 Traverse City Horse Shows Pony Hunter Classic and the $5,000 Traverse City Horse Shows Junior Hunter Classic, presented by Makoto Farms.
