Our exhibitions run Wednesday through Sunday, starting at 8 am. For ticketed events, tickets can be purchased online or at the gate. Please note that we host events rain or shine. For most Sunday Grand Prix, the first horse is at 2 pm, but please check each event as start times vary. We recommend arriving early to enjoy the venue and catch all the action.

Flintfields Horse Park is located at 6535 Bates Road in Williamsburg, Michigan—just a half-mile north of M-72. We’re only a 20-minute drive from downtown Traverse City, Elk Rapids, and Cherry Capital Airport. For detailed directions, visit our directions page.

Most days, admission to the horse shows is complimentary, starting on Wednesdays. However, our Grand Prix and special competitions on select days are ticketed events. General admission is $15. We also offer reserved seating options, including:

• Cabana Coast Box Seat for six – $300
• Passes to The Overlook – $80
• Day passes to the VIP Club – $300

Traverse City Horse Shows proudly donates 100% of general admission ticket sales to non-profits. If your organization is interested in our donation program, sign up to be notified when applications open.

  • General Admission Tickets:
    Enjoy open seating on a first-come, first-served basis. Options include tables in the Cabana Coast Club, Adirondack chairs on the hill, or feel free to bring your own blanket or chair. We proudly donate 100% of general admission revenue to local non-profits.

  • Cabana Coast Club Box Seats:
    These private boxes seat six people and offer a premium experience close to the action. Each box includes a bottle of Veuve Clicquot and a charcuterie board.

  • The Overlook:
    Located on the second floor of the VIP Club, The Overlook offers a shaded, elevated view of the ring, along with a limited complimentary bar and hors d’oeuvres.

  • VIP Club Passes:
    Gain access to the VIP Club, where you’ll enjoy full meals, a complimentary bar, and premium seating.

  Please note: Prices are up to date on our ticketing platform. Tickets are only required for Grand Prix Sundays and select events.

Each week during our 13-week season (June–September) offers something unique. You’ll witness Olympic riders on some of the world’s finest horses, as well as young riders on ponies just starting their equestrian journey. Who knows? The five-year-old you see jumping today might be an Olympian in 20 years!

At Traverse City Horse Shows, you’ll see a variety of competitions, including equitation, hunter, and jumper classes. Comfort is key at Traverse City Horse Shows. We recommend wearing comfortable, closed-toe shoes for navigating the farm’s various terrains. Sunglasses and a hat are also essentials, and don’t forget to check the weather—our shows go on rain or shine!

Feel free to dress up if you’re aiming for a stylish day out, but comfort always comes first. While we offer Adirondack chairs and limited covered seating in the Cabana Coast Club, many spectators bring their own chairs or blankets for lawn seating. And if you’re planning to spend the day, why not bring a book and make the most of your time at Flintfields Horse Park?

When you arrive, our friendly front gate attendants will guide you to the parking area. If you’re coming with a group, we recommend carpooling to make parking easier. Once parked, you can either take a shuttle to your desired ring or enjoy a short walk to the show entrance.

After you’re inside, use our venue map—available at the gate or online—to explore the different rings and experiences. 

The show goes on rain or shine! However, in the event of heavy rain or lightning, we will temporarily clear the rings for safety. Competition will resume as soon as it’s safe to do so. We encourage everyone to dress for the weather and be prepared for changing conditions.

Thanks to our exceptional footing in the rings, it’s rare that we need to reschedule an event. Rest assured, the action will continue as soon as possible.

Traverse City Horse Shows is a professional equestrian circuit. We do not offer horse riding. However, we provide a unique opportunity to view a fantastic sport with a storied history up close.
