Marketing & Communications Position
Traverse City Horse Shows is growing! Created in 2015, the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, Flintfields Horse Park and our calendar of events has grown into one of the top destinations for show jumping in the United States. Looking ahead to 2023 and our 9th season, we will host 13 weeks of competition, including FEI and National level jumpers, hunters and equitation. Featured events include the prestigious FEI North American Youth Championship, the Adequan®/USEF Junior Hunter National Championship – East, the American Gold Cup, Silver Oak Jumper Tournament and two FEI* 5 weeks as part of the Major League Show Jumping series.
As our events continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced marketing and communication professional to join our team. This is a full-time, year-round position, to be based in Traverse City, MI during the season (June – September).
SEASONAL POSITIONS
Our team is looking to fill a variety of seasonal roles throughout the event. Most roles are full-time and coincide with the horse show schedule Wednesday – Sunday. Approximate employment dates are June 6 – September 18, but may vary depending on the role/position. Candidates should be friendly, motivated and hardworking. Candidates should be able to work well under pressure and possess excellent communication and customer service skills. Experience and/or level of comfort with horses is preferred in some roles.

INTERNSHIPS
TCHS seeks internship candidates who are interested in learning more about event sponsorship, marketing and operations. Interns will gain valuable professional experience and will learn about all aspects of our business including event logistics, horse show management, operations, hospitality and communications. Internship candidates should apply by February 15, 2023.
