Marketing & Communications Position
Traverse City Horse Shows is growing! Created in 2015, the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, Flintfields Horse Park and our calendar of events has grown into one of the top destinations for show jumping in the United States. Looking ahead to 2022 and our 8th season, we will host 12 weeks of FEI and National level jumpers, hunters and equitation, and will feature the prestigious North American Youth Championship, the American Gold Cup, Silver Oak Jumper Tournament and two FEI* 5 weeks as part of the Major League Show Jumping series.
As our events continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced marketing and communication professional to join our team. This is a full-time, year-round position, to be based in Traverse City, MI during the season, and either Wellington, FL or Traverse City the rest of the year.
Our team is looking to fill a variety of seasonal roles throughout the event. Most roles are full-time and coincide with the horse show schedule Wednesday – Sunday. Approximate employment dates are June 7 – September 19, but may vary depending on the role/position. Candidates should be friendly, motivated and hardworking. Candidates should be able to work well under pressure and possess excellent communication and customer service skills. Experience and/or level of comfort with horses is preferred in some roles.

TCHS seeks internship candidates who are interested in learning more about event sponsorship, marketing and operations. Interns will gain valuable professional experience and will learn about all aspects of our business including event logistics, horse show management, operations, hospitality and communications. Internship positions for 2023 will be posted this fall.
