Food & Beverage Manager | Seasonal Operations at Flintfields Horse Park

The Food & Beverage Manager leads all bar, catering, and food operations at Flintfields Horse Park during Traverse City Horse Shows’ summer season. This role oversees a high-volume, multi-location program serving competitors, spectators, and hospitality guests, with responsibility for daily execution, team leadership, and ongoing growth of the food and beverage experience.

Traverse City Horse Shows is now accepting applications for seasonal positions from June through September at Flintfields Horse Park.

We are hiring both front-of-house and back-of-house team members, including hospitality, food and beverage, bar, service, culinary, and support roles.

Looking for a hands-on, high-energy summer internship? Join the team at Traverse City Horse Shows for a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in event operations, marketing, hospitality, sponsorship, and more—all while spending the summer in beautiful Northern Michigan.

Whether you’re passionate about equestrian sport or just eager to build your skills in a live event setting, this immersive program offers meaningful mentorship and professional development.

Internship Focus Areas

Applicants may indicate a preferred area of interest:

  • Marketing & Communications: Support  newsletters, social media and onsite promotions, with opportunities in multimedia, editing, and guest engagement based on your skills.
  • Community Relations / Hospitality: Assist with ticket sales, promotions, and community partnerships, helping create a welcoming and organized guest experience.
  • Event Operations: Help plan and execute on-site events and activations for competitors, partners, and spectators throughout the show season.
  • Sponsorship: Work with our sponsorship team to support activations, track deliverables, and help showcase the impact of partner programs.

Program Details

  • Duration: June 1 – September 25, 2026 (flexible for students)
  • Schedule: Tuesday–Sunday, including weekends and long event days. Some Mondays involved.
  • Compensation: $500/week stipend + housing provided
