Dedicated to shaping riders of all ages, Taylor Harris Insurance Services (THIS) has partnered with Traverse City Horse Shows (TCHS) in 2022 to debut the all-new THIS Children’s Pony Medal. Offering new and innovative opportunities for Children’s pony riders, the THIS Children’s Pony Medal will be on the schedule throughout the 2022 TCHS season running June 8 through September 18 at Michigan’s Flintfields Horse Park.
In addition to insuring many of the world’s top horses, THIS also aims to support all levels of riders with the continued success of their popular and highly competitive THIS National Children’s Medal and THIS NHS Adult Medal. THIS is taking that goal even further by including Children’s Pony riders in their family of medal events and finals.

The THIS Children’s Medal has grown and become an integral steppingstone competition over the years, and with the success of the ever growing THIS Adult Medal it was a logical next step to add a THIS Medal for pony riders,” says THIS President, Michael Taylor. “We have been longtime supporters of the Morrissey’s events and have loved watching the Traverse City Horse Shows grow and expand. It has therefore been easy to choose Traverse City to kick-off the newest edition to the THIS medal line-up.”
In addition to a full season of qualifying events in 2022, THIS will offer a first-ever THIS Children’s Pony Medal Final at TCHS next year. “We are continually looking for ways to support our sport at all levels and we look forward to watching these pony rider’s shine in the inaugural final during the 2023 TCHS,” concluded Taylor.
