Great Lakes Equestrian Festival Returns for Its 12th Season

Prize List Now Available

The 2026 GLEF prize list is now available for the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, presented by B&D Builders, which returns for its 12th season this summer at Flintfields Horse Park.

It outlines six weeks of CSI3* competition alongside national hunters, equitation, and team competitions.

Key highlights include:

  • FEI CSIO3* Nations Cup
  • FEI North American Youth Championships (Jumping & Dressage)
  • $100,000 World Championship Hunter Rider Midwest Spectacular
  • Weekly USHJA National Hunter Derbies
  • Traverse City Open Sales Auction (GLEF III)

The season continues into September with Tournament of Champions, featuring three weeks of competition and back-to-back CSI5* Grand Prix events—fall prize list coming soon.

Summer in Northern Michigan 🇺🇸

GLEF begins over Fourth of July weekend and runs through the height of summer. Throughout July and August, Traverse City offers regional festivals, time on the water, beaches, golf, and a vibrant food and wine scene.

$100,000 USHJA Hunter Spectacular — Central (GLEF II)
$25,000 USHJA International Derby (GLEF IV)
$10,000 3’ USHJA National Hunter Derby (GLEF I-V)
$10,000 3’ USHJA Jr/Am National Hunter Derby (GLEF I-V)

Equitation
$100,000 Traverse City Equitation 3’6” Championship Qualifier (GLEF II–IV)
$50,000 Traverse City Equitation 3’3” Championship Qualifier (GLEF II–IV)
$10,000 Adult Equitation Challenge (GLEF III)

GLEF III will also feature the second annual Traverse City Open Sales Auction, immediately following the Grand Prix on July 18.
