Traverse City Horse Shows and Silver Oak Jumper Tournament Extend Partnership

We’re pleased to announce the extension of our partnership with the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament (SOJT), presented by the Davis McCullough Foundation, through 2026. This year will mark the fifth year of the collaboration at the Traverse City Tournament of Champions.

Since 2020, the TCHS-SOJT partnership has notably elevated show jumping standards through exceptional organization and a rider-focused approach. “We’re honored to continue our partnership with SOJT, further enhancing our tournaments and ensuring an exceptional experience,” says Matt Morrissey, Event Director for TCHS.

Jeff Papows, Ph.D., Founder of SOJT and Chairman of The Kevin Babington Foundation, adds, “SOJT was founded on superior hospitality and attention to detail, qualities we’ve consistently found with Morrissey Management Group in Traverse City. I’m thrilled to renew our long-standing partnership.”

Reaffirming its commitment to the equestrian community, SOJT continues to support the Kevin Babington Foundation, aiding spinal injury recovery and promoting safety education.

The SOJT, a premier 3* jumper show, will inaugurate the Traverse City Tournament of Champions from September 4–8, 2024. This event begins a thrilling three weeks of top-tier equestrian competition, including the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Qualifier and the American Gold Cup 5* Grand Prix.
