TSCH Invites Nonprofit Participation in the 2024 Charity Ticket Program

Show Jumping Season at Flintfields Horse Park Kicks Off June 5, Now Accepting Non-Profit Applications

Traverse City, MI, January 9, 2024—Traverse City Horse Shows (TCHS) is set to launch the third year of its Charity Ticket Program with ambitious goals. Following a 70% surge in ticket sales, resulting in over $37,000 in donations in 2023, TCHS aims to raise $60,000 for local causes in 2024. Central to the program, 100% of all general admission ticket revenue is donated to a designated non-profit weekly.

“The ticket program is our way of channeling the excitement and passion of equestrian sport into significant support for the community,” said Gary Howe, Marketing Director for TCHS. “This year, we’re excited to expand our impact and reach.”

The program provides non-profits a unique platform to engage with a diverse audience across the 12 weeks of grand prix events. In partnership with TCHS, selected organizations have the opportunity to showcase their causes against the exciting backdrop of premier equestrian competition at Flintfields Horse Park.

Madeline Saucedo, Director of Traverse Bay Children’s Advocacy Center, shared her positive experience with the program, saying, “Our collaboration with TCHS was both effective and delightful, offering a new way to engage audiences and raise awareness. It was a novel experience for many of our guests, and they absolutely loved it!”

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, TCHS is recognized as a hub for the global equestrian community, attracting elite athletes, including past and current Olympians. “2024 is a significant year, coinciding with the Paris Olympics, and it underscores the high caliber of athletes showing right here in Northern Michigan,” remarked Howe. “It’s a remarkable opportunity for Michiganders to experience world-class sport up close.”

The Charity Ticket Program, initiated in 2022, exemplifies TCHS’s dedication to broadening the reach of equestrian sport and fostering community ties. Non-profits focusing on youth, family, health, environment, animal welfare, and community are encouraged to apply. The application period for the 2024 season runs from January 8 to February 12
