Traverse City, Mich. – August 3, 2021 The prize list for the 2021 Traverse City Tournament of Champions (TCF) is available now! Set to kick-off September 1, TCF will boast CSI2*, CSI3* and CSI5* events for riders and horses of all ages. The fall events will highlight the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament, presented by the Davis McCullough Foundation, the USHJA Young Jumper Championship, Major League Show Jumping, the 51st Anniversary of the American Gold Cup and the inaugural Traverse City Hunter & Derby Finals. Join us for three weeks of high performance show jumping, hunter and equitation competition in beautiful Traverse City, Michigan!
The 12-week Traverse City Horse Shows season will come to a pinnacle during Week III with the biggest event of the season, the $230,000 American Gold Cup Grand Prix CSI5*, presented by CaptiveOne Advisors. Athletes will have one final shot to battle it out for points toward the coveted $30,000 CaptiveOne Advisors Open Jumper Rider Bonus, which will be awarded at the conclusion of the American Gold Cup Grand Prix. Adding to an already thrilling Week III, the Major League Show Jumping CSI5* tour will return to Traverse City for the third time this year for another action-packed week of team competition.
The Silver Oak Jumper Tournament (SOJT), presented by the Davis McCullough Foundation, will return to Traverse City for the second year in a row. The Silver Oak Jumper Tournament was founded eight years ago by Jeff Papows and is a registered 501(c)(3) charity that supports animal rescue efforts. Running concurrently with SOJT, the inaugural USHJA Young Jumper Championship will make its debut in Traverse City to support the development of talented show jumping horses aged four, five, six, seven and eight years old.
The highly anticipated inaugural Traverse City Hunter & Derby Finals will be showcased during Week III as some of the nation’s leading hunter horses and riders take to Flintfields Horse Park for a shot at over $275k in prize money. For participating riders, the incentive program includes 70% of all enrollment fees dedicated as add-back prize money for each division final. Horses not enrolled in the incentive program will still be eligible to compete for prize money as long as they have competed for three weeks during the Traverse City show series.
